If you've found your way to The AFTER Organization, chances are your family is carrying more than most people realize. You may be navigating diagnoses, medical appointments, school meetings, therapies, evaluations, or decisions that feel impossibly heavy. You may be trying to hold everything together while wondering if you're missing something important.
I've been there.
I know what it feels like to sit in appointment after appointment, collecting reports, recommendations, and information, only to leave with more questions than answers. I know what it's like to spend late nights researching because you want to make the best decisions for your child. I know the weight of wondering whether you're doing enough, asking the right questions, or finding the right path.
Through that journey, I realized that what families need most isn't someone to fight every battle for them. They need clarity, direction, and the confidence to advocate for their children.
Families aren't failing because they don't love their children enough or aren't trying hard enough. They're struggling because they're being asked to navigate incredibly complex systems with very little guidance. They're expected to make life-changing decisions without anyone stopping to explain how the pieces fit together.
The AFTER Organization was created so families would have a place to turn when the path forward isn't clear. A place that offers more than information. A place that offers understanding, practical support, and someone who believes that no family should have to navigate these challenges alone.
My hope is that every family who connects with us feels seen, supported, and empowered. Whether we're helping you understand a diagnosis, prepare for a school meeting, discover new educational opportunities, or simply reminding you that you're not walking this journey by yourself, our purpose is the same: to help you move forward with confidence.

The AFTER Organization was born from lived experience and a simple belief: no family should have to navigate life's most complex challenges alone.
When a child has medical, educational, or developmental needs, parents quickly find themselves navigating a world they never expected to enter. Specialist appointments. School meetings. Evaluations. Therapies. Insurance requirements. Endless paperwork. Difficult decisions. Families are expected to become experts almost overnight, all while trying to be the steady, reassuring presence their children need.
Our founder experienced that reality firsthand.
While working through multiple medical, educational, and developmental systems, she saw just how overwhelming the journey could be, even with the skills to understand and organize the information. She realized the greatest challenge wasn't always finding resources. It was knowing how to make sense of them, how they connected, and what to do next.
She also realized something else.
Every day, families were doing everything they could for their children. They weren't lacking determination or love. They were lacking clarity, guidance, and someone to help them navigate systems that were never designed to be simple.
That realization became The AFTER Organization.
Today, our organization transforms those experiences into practical resources, educational programs, community partnerships, and advocacy that make navigating complex systems easier for families across Florida and Georgia.

The Big Brain Box
The Big Brain Box is our flagship hands-on STEM program designed to make learning engaging, accessible, and exciting.
Created with diverse learners in mind, each box encourages children to explore science, engineering, creativity, and problem-solving through meaningful, hands-on experiences while giving parents and educators tools to extend learning beyond the activity.
